VBS has come to an end. It is so sad to think it might be an entire year before we see these kiddos again, or ever. BUT, we are NOT fixing to get all sappy. Today is a glorious day!
Day 5 went great! We prepared everyone for Parent’s Night and made some super legit bracelets! Parent’s Night was incredible! We love seeing all the parents come support their children! The children also have the brightest joy when showing off their dance moves and getting all of their crafts in front of the group.
We were all super excited about some of the old school planes that were in town today!!! It was so cool seeing all of these planes and seeing some of our friends and the community enjoy it.
This red plane brought a Holstein cow, milk cow, out to our village in the 40’s for a family who had adopted a baby and had no milk for it! Fun fact of the day!
Here are some old looking fighter-ish planes. Not 100% sure what they are for but they are in the plane show! Reminded us of Captain America.
Good ole Tim out in front of one of the planes!
To complete the night Kayla and Jenna ran out of gas on the way to their host home! Kayla was trying to protect herself from the insane, swarming mosquitos. Thankfully, a kind lady let them use her phone and they figured out their problem!
Today went great. Very enjoyable day. We are working on the parsonage a little bit more in the morning so we will put the final Parsonage picture up tomorrow when we get back in Anchorage!
So prayers for tomorrow:
-Steady work on the parsonage
-Safe traveling, flight leaves at 2:15
-For peace while leaving. Leaving this place is one of the hardest thing some of our team members have to do.
Our next blog will be from Anchorage!
Blessings,
